When you’re listening to music, you’ll notice a lot of bass drums (or beats). The bass control will cause your speaker to boost or cut these frequencies. There are ‘low’ sounds that you can make when it is loud. In the case of bass, frequencies can range from 150hertz to 150 oscillations per second. The treble level should be set slightly higher than the bass, and should be increased until it sounds bright but not harsh. ![]() ![]() For starters, the bass level should be set so that it is just barely audible, as too much bass can muddy the overall sound. That being said, there are some general guidelines that can be followed in order to achieve a well-balanced sound. There are many different schools of thought when it comes to what the ideal bass and treble levels should be, and it ultimately comes down to personal preference. This Sadowsky has a lovely growly tone due to the rms 6’er (active) pickup balance, which is a combination of the center bass‘s treble and master volume’s full. The all-around setting is a slight boost in the bass through EQ, flat mids, and flat treble on the onboard. Because of the tone, I believe it is too bright to be true. When they are full up, the bridge is not always blended with it. In general, the bass treble of both pickups is 20-30%%22bass. I use the same highs, cuts, lows, and boosters method when playing a song that requires a deeper tone as I do with my Lull. My MM Sterling’s eq settings are very similar to those of yours. My amp tends to do all the shaping as I feel when I take a lot of the on board out, but this is just me. ![]() Ultimately, it is up to you to experiment with the settings to find what sounds best for your individual setup. If you are playing heavier music, you may want to increase the bass slightly, and if you are playing softer music, you may want to decrease the bass slightly. This will give you a well-rounded sound that is suitable for most genres of music. However, a good starting point is to set the bass to around 4 and the treble to around 6. There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on personal preference and the type of music you are playing.
